It’s been a particularly wet and windy week for the whole team here at Field 28, whilst trying to dodge the rain we’re working hard to get set up for the year ahead. The second of two new poly tunnels is going up quickly and by the end of the month we’ll be prepping the beds that’ll provide us with a bounty of produce throughout the year.
Both these tunnels will be full to bursting this summer with a range of beautiful heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers and aubergines. The colours, flavours and textures of all these crops bring a warmth to the mind as we begin to enter the colder months of the year and even though we’re only just in to winter we’re already thinking about harvests in mid summer.
